QUEEN THE PROPHET LATEST RELEASES
First of all we would like to thank you for the chance to interview you!!
1.When did you first get into making music?
I first got into music professionally back in 2008 with an underground hip-hop website http://Battlegrownd.com which was an on-line freestyle battle arena. As the years progressed, I closed the website and got into social media promotion, artist management, artist development, and project management under Battlegrownd Entertainment.
I started recording my own music in 2012 and released my first single "the 7th Trumpet" featuring Grand Giovanni (produced by Brandon Heat) after the Sandy Hook School shooting in CT.
In 2014 I hooked up with Hell Razah (Sunz of Man/ Wu-Tang Clan) after he reached out to me on social media and became an artist on his Hell Razah Music, Inc. Roster and part of his Ghetto Govt Officialz (GGO) movement.
In 2015 I stepped off his roster as an artist and launched my own label Street Prophet Entertainment / Street Prophet Music Group.
2.Who or what were your influences?
I have been in love with hip-hop & RnB since I can remember. But the most influential female artist that really impacted my life was / is Lauryn Hill.
3.Name your favorite top 5 music Groups
Lauryn Hill and Mary J Blige
I think that's all I can really say as my favorite. I like too many to name but they're all definitely artists that are from the 90's era of hip-hop I
don't care for any of the newer mainstream artists personally.
4.What projects do you have coming up?
I'm actually working on a book which I'm very excited about and have been in the process of designing a signature perfume.
My blog http://queentheprophet.com is always a ongoing project and musically I'm working on my first official album as well as "The New Testament" project which will be a free download.
5.Besides music, “What Are Your Hobbies?”
I love to read and I normally have 2-3 books going at once. I also adore my nieces and nephew and since they're still very young I try to spend as much time as I can with them.
I'm also very active in my church, I do a lot in the Administration Department, I still work part-time helping individuals with developmental disabilities live independently, and I also have another business Vibrant Family Services which provides mentoring to at-risk youth, child care & family supports.
I've always had a passion for helping people, because there was a time in my life I needed help desperately and nobody was there so I know how it feels.
6.Name 2 things people should know about you?
I'm pretty transparent. God has brought me a long way and I'm not perfect, but I certainly am not who I once was. I try my best to help, encourage, &
empower people through my music, blog, & social media handles not because it's part of a character, but because Queen the Prophet & Rachel are the same person.
7.Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
5 years from now I hope to be wiser & healthier then I am now. In 5 years I would like to have 2 albums pushed out, grown my record label so I can
comfortably retire as an actual artist and focus more on developing new artists & more of the business / management end of music as well as additional books.
